August FFA Alumni Chapter Spotlight

Jordan FFA Alumni & Supporters

The Jordan FFA Alumni & Supporters Chapter was rechartered in 2024 after the previous chapter had become inactive in the late 1990s. Today, the chapter has approximately 30 members, including parents, community members, and former FFA members who are committed to supporting the Jordan FFA Chapter and its students.

The Alumni and Supporters Chapter has supported a variety of needs within the Jordan FFA Chapter through fundraising efforts, including Charleston Wraps, ticketing fundraisers at NC State football games, a Vertical Raise campaign and 50/50 raffles held during the Jordan FFA Market in early November. In addition to fundraising, the chapter has secured several community grants that have supported livestock projects on campus and funded needed improvements to Jordan High School’s greenhouse. They’ve supported students by paying for meals at the North Carolina FFA State Convention and by purchasing feed for steers being exhibited at the Central Piedmont Junior Livestock Show.

Looking ahead, the Jordan FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter plans to expand its fundraising and community outreach efforts through events such as a community bingo night and family movie nights. These events will provide additional financial support for the FFA program while creating opportunities to engage more parents and community members with the chapter.

One of the most unique aspects of our Alumni and Supporters Chapter is that our current vice president, Becky Ayers, is a former agriculture teacher at Jordan High School. Becky recently earned her Honorary State FFA Degree at the 2026 North Carolina FFA State Convention for her decades of service supporting agriculture education.
