Jeremy Cobb is a 2007
graduate of Bartlett Yancey High School in
Yanceyville, North Carolina. He is the son
of Tammy Moore of Yanceyville and Wesley
Cobb of Burlington. His advisors are Thomas
White, Kin Watlington, and Cy Vernon.
Jeremy is currently a freshmen at the
University of North Carolina State
majoring in agricultural education.
While in high school Jeremy
participated in numerous career development
events and leadership activities. He
participated in the forestry, envirothon,
land judging and agricultural communications career
development events at the state and national
levels. Jeremy has served in leadership
roles at his chapter as a chapter officer
and chapter President and at the regional
level reporter and vice-president.
Jeremy’s Supervised
Agricultural Experience (SAE) program
consisted of a placement program at Vernon
Farms and Garden Center. During his SAE he
had the opportunity to work with a wide
variety of people including agribusiness
representatives from throughout the state
and nation.
Jeremy attends Beulah Baptist
Church of Leasburg, North Carolina where he
is active in youth activities as well as
assistant director of the AWANA program for
kids.
As a state FFA officer Jeremy
intends to use his time and talents to
expose FFA members to the opportunities
available to them through this organization.
